Nick Sanchez left bloodied in fight with Matt Crafton at Talladega
During Saturday’s NASCAR Truck race at Talladega, Sanchez received a mid-race penalty and had to work his way back up to the front of the pack. In a three-wide situation late in the race, Sanchez made contact with Crafton, causing a pileup. Crafton then parked his damaged truck in Sanchez’s team stall. Sanchez finished seventh, but after the race, Crafton confronted him, leading to a physical altercation. Video footage showed Sanchez being pulled away from the fight with blood on his face. NASCAR is currently investigating the incident. Sanchez, who had a bloodied face, was treated and released from the infield care center. He expressed his disappointment in Crafton’s cheap shot and stated his intention to win the race at Homestead. The NASCAR Truck race at Talladega was won by Brett Moffitt.
